4 World Trade Center
With structural steel and concrete complete, the last 5 rows of the curtain wall system are now being completed at the top of the building. Simultaneously, the curtain wall panels to infill of the hoist opening on the north side of the building are in progress. The installation of elevators continues at passenger car banks D, E, and the Service Car Elevators up to the 72nd floor. Mechanical work, fireproofing/firestopping and masonry work are advancing. The work in the commercial lobby ceiling has been completed and the temporary work platform has been removed. The Temporary Certificate of Occupancy (TCO) is expected in the Fall of 2013.

Structural steel is now topped out at the 72nd floor, with only upper mechanical and roof bulkhead construction left. Elevators continue to be installed at shafts up to the 50th floor with separator beam pockets being filled with high strength grout. Concrete and core walls are completed through the 72nd floor, as are column encasements. Curtain wall installation, which began in late April 2011, has reached the 70th floor. Glazing (glass installation) in is progress on the commercial lobby and retail store fronts on the east, west, and south elevations. The Temporary Certificate of Occupancy (TCO) is expected in the Fall of 2013.

Elevators continue to be installed at shafts up to the 50th floor with separator beam pockets being filled with high strength grout. Structural steel is now topped out at the 72nd floor, with only roof bulkhead and upper mechanical construction left. The curtain wall installation, which began in late April 2011, has reached the 58th floor. Both the below-grade mechanical work and the fireproofing and masonry work are advancing. In addition, the utility work along Liberty Street and Greenwich Street (inside the work site fence) has been active since late July and will continue through August of this year. Structural steel is now above the 72nd floor, with concrete being poured above the 67th floor. The curtain wall installation, which began in late April 2011, has reached the 66th floor. Both the above and below-grade mechanical work is advancing. Installation of the stone finishes on the walls of the commercial lobby and elevator banks is nearing completion. In addition, the fireproofing and masonry is underway along with the building’s elevator shafts and cab installations. Two cranes are now active on the site. A top out celebration was held on Monday, June 25.

Structural steel is now above the 63rd floor and concrete is being poured above the 47th floor. The curtain wall installation, which began In april 2011, has reached the 43rd floor and the core bathroom program is underway. In the interior of 4 World Trade Center, the installations of both the lobby’s black granite and the elevator cabs have started. In addition, the fireproofing and masonry is advancing along with the building’s shaft work.
